My mom told me to be careful driving back and to to work. I told her I would. Then I grinned. I know that is what we say, but shouldn't it be to and back? Or ... are we going back to work and then to home? Whichever, I will be careful going to and back.

It's funny, because we say "back and forth", too, when we really have to go forth before we can come back! :)
