Butterfly haiku

 I have not written a haiku in a long time.  I thought I came up with one this morning until I remembered that it was 5-7-5 , not 7-5-7.  ;)

BUTTERFLIES FLUTTER BY ME

MAKING ME HAPPY

BRINGING A SMILE TO MY FACE

So I rewrote it:

A SMILE ON MY FACE

BUTTERFLIES FLUTTER BY ME

MAKING ME HAPPY

I used to write haiku's a lot. I guess life got busy.

 Last month, I was able to visit my friend in Missouri. She and her husband and My husband and I have been friends for 50+ years. Our children were in church nursery together. Now, one of my children is a grandparent. Time flies.

She made this tote bag for me. She saw the butterflies and thought of me.

Mary also gave  this to me. She had her neighbor (artist) to paint it. It shows my seven-sister roses

 and, of course, a butterfly. It sits at my back door. It's made of concrete.
